With the chance of being outside in this snowy weather a continued likelihood, being conspicuous to traffic is a very important issue.  Safety wear can, of course be purchased as standard with the reflective strips already attached but there is then an opportunity to personalise the safety clothing by adding graphics; company logos and sports club emblems.  And why not offer that little extra by adding an element of reflectivity to the Logo. By using Doro Tape’s brand new Silva-Lite Pro you can offer a completely different dimension to their personalised printwear.

Silva-Lite Pro

Silva-Lite Pro shines through the dark

Doro Tape has just launched the Silva-Lite Pro; arguably one of the best reflective films for cad cutting and heat pressing on the market today.  This highly reflective flex film reflects the light with a brilliant silver-white intensity.  In fact Silva-Lite Pro meets the European Standard for reflectivity (En 471:2003+A1:2007) making it possible to use on safety clothing for emergency services, police and councils. There must be times when individual officers or firemen need to be identified easily in situation where light is poor.  Good reflective decals would be ideal in this situation and cad cut heat pressable films such as Silva-Lite Pro are ideal for this type of work.

One big improvement on the original Silva-Lite is the use of a sticky backed liner for the film.  This makes it even easier to cut and weed, allowing for really small graphics to be achieved.

This film is very versatile in that it can be applied to virtually any type of garment, whether it is a waterproof nylon jacket; a Lycra running top; a fleece or a cotton t-shirt.  It has passed the domestic ISO 6330 domestic wash test at 600C and the manufacturers are at this time expecting it to pass the industrial wash test ISO 15797 at 750C to include tumble drying.  This means it is ideal for private use or for corporate and sports clubs where garments may be cleaned on a more industrial scale.

Doro Tape now stock Silva-Lite Pro alongside their extensive range of flex films for the personalisation of garments.  The film is supplied at 500mm width by the metre, on a next day delivery service throughout the UK.
